Petaling Jaya, sometimes known as “PJ,” is a vast city that sprawls across a large portion of Selangor. It was Malaysia’s first planned town, and its population has increased considerably over the years. The neighbourhood currently has appealing destinations such as Jump Street Asia, Asia’s largest trampoline park.
The development of the city began in 1952 in what is now known as “Old Town.” It was here that the first 800 dwellings were constructed. PJ was founded as a satellite township for Kuala Lumpur and was only designated as a city in June 2006. The city’s present real estate market is a force to be reckoned with, with most developers competing for any accessible land.
